311 Greatest Hits

Greatest Hits is a common name for a compilation album of an artist's most popular songs. The first such album was Johnny's Greatest Hits by Johnny Mathis in 1958. They include, alphabetically by band name (minus "the") or artist's last name. Greatest Hits is a double disc greatest hits album for rapper Tupac Shakur, released by Death Row Records in 1998. The album's nonchronological sequence highlights 2Pac's music; the 21 popular hits, some slightly re-edited for legal reasons, are accompanied by four previously unreleased songs: "God Bless the Dead", "Unconditional Love", "Troublesome '96", and "Changes" which has since become one of Shakur's best known songs. Greatest Hits '93-'03 was the first compilation album by 311, released on June 8, 2004. The album features tracks from each of 311's major label albums from Music through Evolver and two new tracks "First Straw" and "How Do You Feel?".

"First Straw" was released as a radio single and enjoyed modest success, peaking at 14 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart. The album has been certified Gold, having sold over 500,000 copies. Greatest Hits is the "best of" compilation album by boy band 'N Sync. It was released on October 25, 2005 (see 2005 in music). It includes one "new" song, entitled "I'll Never Stop", which wasn't released in the U.S. The picture on the cover is from a 2000 photoshoot. Greatest Hits is A*Teens last Official Album, a compilation including biggest worldwide hits such as "Mamma Mia", "Upside Down", "Halfway Around The World", "Floorfiller" and many others, every track included on that album (except by the new tracks) reached the Top 20 in some country. The album was planned to be released on Early 2004, but due to problems with Stockholm Records/Universal Music, A*Teens released the album until May 5, 2005.

For the release of this album, the A*Teens called all their fans through their website asking for pictures, and they included the pictures on the booklet of the album, the tracks included on the album "The Final Cut" and "With Or Without You" were written by the members of the band giving messages of "Goodbye" and "Thanks" to the fans. This album was not released Worldwide, it was released in selected territories where Universal thought it would do well, including Mexico, South America, Germany and some other European and Asian countries. The album went on to sell 3,000 copies in Brazil. The album sold relatively well in Latin America and some parts of Europe, where "I Promised Myself" was a huge hit. An American Edition was planned for this album, it was going to be released through Interscope Records in late 2004, but the A*Teens already were finishing their "Greatest Hits tour" in Sweden and they didn't want to promote there as Dhani was about to release his first solo single, so Interscope cancelled the release.

Benny and Frida are kissing, while Björn reads a technical paper and Agnetha looks wistfully ahead into the distance. Both versions of the sleeve featured a gatefold design. Greatest Hits Vol. 2 was a compilation album by Swedish pop group ABBA, released in 1979 to coincide with their tour of North America and Europe.

It debuted at 1 in the UK, where it stayed for four weeks and was 46 in the US. Greatest Hits Vol. 2 contained the new single "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)".
